6 - 9 November 2018
From the 6th to the 9th of November 2018, BILAT USA 4.0 will lead a visiting delegation of American business associations, research and innovation networks, and cluster organizations representing nine U.S. states to the European Union (EU). Participants in the event will spend four days visiting over 15 cluster organizations in Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
Participants will also have the opportunity to learn from peers and experts during a roundtable at BLOXHUB in Copenhagen. Held in collaboration with Cluster Excellence Denmark and International Cleantech Network (ICN), the roundtable will showcase EU-US cluster collaboration opportunities, success stories, and good practices for cluster management. The US delegation will have a chance to take part in a networking/matchmaking session with the European cluster participants following the roundtable.
The U.S. delegation is composed of 12 cluster-like organizations in the fields of clean energy, clean tech, sustainability, smart cities, and e-mobility interested in cooperation with clusters and the stakeholders of the R&I ecosystem in the EU. These organizations include: Austin Technology Incubator / IC2 Institute, California Technology Council, Fort Collins Economic Health Office, JobsOhio, Mississippi Enterprise for Technology, NoRTEC/ChicoStart, PureBlue, Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster, Smart Cities Council, The Vault, Urban Future Lab, and William Factory Small Business Incubator.
One of the main objectives of the High-Level U.S. Cluster Mission to the EU is to support transatlantic cooperation for strategic Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) and business partnerships, and to support cluster organizations in the internationalization of their and their members’ activities, specifically focused on business cooperation, research, and innovation.
